Care Guide
Because the fabrics I use are repurposed, reworked, destash or vintage they need to be treated with care. Please see the following guide lines:
-
Always turn inside out before washing.
-
Avoid all harsh chemicals.
-
Machine wash at 30 degrees.
-
Air dry (do not use a tumble dryer!)
-
Iron carefully either on the reverse of the fabric (especially around embroidery) or with a cloth over any design areas.
Extra care tips
I suggest caution if fabric is vintage or appears delicate and would always recommend turning the item inside out and hand washing. If this is not possible then it is advisable to use a minimum machine wash on a delicate/low temperature setting preferably with the item in a mesh laundry bag.
When ironing start with the lowest setting and place a light muslin cloth over the fabric. Adjust the temperature of the iron slowly if necessary.
Please note
Everything is pre-washed and some mending and inventive decorative techniques are to be expected at times which is all part of the repurposing process. When it comes to care Every garment is unique and, to some extent, will rely on personal judgement. Always proceed with caution!
