Thank you so much for visiting my site I'm so glad you're here. My name is Lisa and I am the creator of my own clothing business where I repurpose duvet covers into outfits for children and their dolls.
I am a textile artist and maker with a background in childcare and I recently graduated from Brighton University with an MA in Sustainable Design. My ethos is to make more with less and the essence of my brand is fun which I try to channel into everything I do. I work from home taking inspiration from books, patterns, charity shops, vintage markets and eclectic finds.
Sustainability is at the heart of my business as I strongly believe that we owe it to our children and future generations to create a safe and viable future on earth. We already have enough clothes to dress the next 6 generations of the human race and so there is really no excuse to use precious resources to make new items. It is not just about changing the way we work but also about setting examples by showing what we support, as this is how children learn.
We have a responsibility to model a new sustainable world in the now - a world we want to see even if it does not exist yet. Young people learn through experiences, many of which come through the choices that we, as adults, make and so it is up to us to make sure our daily actions support our beliefs. This includes the decisions we take regarding clothing purchases. More on clothing and how to join the Slow Fashion Movement here
